Curiosity cured the cat.

Hi there! My name is Natalia and I'm a Curriculum Developer at Codecademy in NYC, where I collaborate with a brilliant team to author coding courses for our millions of global learners. Prior to this, I was the Data Visualization Helen Fellow at the American Museum of Natural History, where in addition to being a junior dev for the emerging media team, I co-taught programming in the context of natural sciences in the Bridge-Up STEM program.

I am really interested in education, data visualizations, and interactive narrative/design. I've written for FastCompany, where I covered tech and wrote code tutorials. While in school, I photographed and wrote for the University's newspaper, eventually becoming the Editor In Chief of the student literary magazine.

In my free time I like to pay it forward through outreach. I am currently co-anchoring segments in Spanish at Univision NYC with Technolochicas, a national campaign trying to raise awareness among Latinas about opportunities in technology. I also sat on the board of trustees of the Anita Borg Institute, the leading non-profit promoting diversity in technology, and am always really thrilled to hear any feedback on what we can be doing to better serve the cause. Feel free to contact me about stories or other engagements on here. Thanks for reading this far! As a gratitude token, the quote upstairs was randomized from my stack of favorites.
